For this week’s IF “mail", i thought of a letter to Santa...and i found really funny children’s letters on the web, and here is that one was my favorite... and what i did with it.

When i saw this week’s IF word, i immediately thought of my trip to Japan a few years ago. Each meal is a sumptuous feast and the beauty of it all might take your breath away, every single time.
At first, you get this crazy rush whenever the food is coming to your table, snap your camera, take 15 shots of it and start eating real fast, too fast.
But then, you don’t take pictures anymore, and you eat slower, so you can enjoy to look at it a little longer..

sneaky liar
When i was a little girl, i used to eat a lot and still, i remained hungry for more, much more.
So, i started to sneak into the kitchen at night, grab cheese, bread sticks or salami, and run back to my bedroom, without ever waking up anybody. Still, suspicions started to arise. And that’s what i would always tell my mum....

Invincible summer

It is always interesting to see how things translate well, or not. I stumbled upon this quote form Albert Camus last week, and it really struck me. This invincible summer...it just burns, or keeps you warm at least.
In french, it goes : "Au milieu de l’hiver, j’ai découvert en moi un invincible été.”

Last year, my friend Y. sent a postcard from Tokyo, and i always thought it represented a wolf. It doesn't, indeed. It is a Japanese dog. The card 's been hanging on the fridge ever since. Today, i did a drawing of it, and now, it looks like a pig. Well.
